What are the I.T.A. - International Taste Awards?

L'International Taste Awards is the first international contest, held in Italy, that is open to all quality food and drink products.
Inspired by true passion and a focus on the food and wine world, it has set itself the ambitious task of selecting, supporting and promoting the work of the best manufacturers, artisan producers and crop and livestock farmers from across the world.
The International Taste Awards The International Taste Awards offer a unique opportunity to compare your products with those of your most celebrated, famous and respected competitors. It involves unparalleled professional, technical and impartial evaluation, thanks to the quality of the competition Jury. For the first time in the world, and unlike other international competitions, the Jury is made up of Italy's leading Food and Drink tasters, with participation by numerous professionals from the catering industry and the wider food and beverage world or gourmet enthusiasts.
Medals are awarded to those who exceed the expectations of our Judges. This recognition will enable them to gain the trust of consumers and enthusiasts, on both a local and international level, stimulating business growth and commercial success, thanks to the independence and professionalism of this prestigious award.
All products in the contest are subject to a rigorous evaluation procedure, which takes place over a period of approximately 60 days between January and February, except seasonal fruit and vegetable products. During this time, each product will be carefully blind tasted and evaluated solely on its merits by a panel of between four and twelve Judges, selected from among the best food and drink tasters, sommeliers, chefs, pastry chefs, barmen, food and wine journalists and gourmet enthusiasts, and chosen for their professionalism and skill.

What are we looking for?

We want to shine a light on the good, the excellent and the best, in absolute terms, from among the immense, diverse world of food and beverages, Regardless of company size or reputation, each product will be judged on its fundamental qualities (appearance, smell, taste), lack of defects and its balance, the pleasure that it offers, as well as the quality of the ingredients and production techniques. Retail packaging will not be taken into consideration in any way.
